Our Natural Rubber mattresses are free of toxic PBDE's, Formaldehyde, PVC, and Pesticide residues. The only sturdy organic mattresses made just for the infant. The natural rubber inside provides support and firmness with comfort. Natural rubber is firmer than other natural type mattresses. Conventional infant mattresses are generally composed of a foam core with vinyl covering. Studies have shown that mice on this mattress have a reduction of 26% of their airflow. This could be a major factor in SIDS. Many studies have confirmed the link between SIDS and chemicals but the JPMA(crib industry) is very large and keeps promoting cheap synthetic mattresses. Meets all CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) guidelines. The advantage of getting an all natural rubber mattress with an organic wool outer cover is that this cover is a built in puddle pad making it not necessary to purchase a wool puddle pad to protect your mattress.
