Why Formaldehyde Free?
Formaldehyde is a colorless organic chemical used as a preservative and bonding agent. Formaldehyde is in your carpeting, wall board, furniture and cotton textiles.  Formaldehyde can naturally emit gas at room temperature.  Eye, nose and throat irritation, coughing, skin rashes and headaches are just a few of the symptoms caused by Formaldehyde.  The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified Formaldehyde as a Probable Human Carcinogen meaning that it causes cancer in animals and it is also likely in humans.

Why Azo Free Dyes

Azo dyes and pigments are used to color textiles and plastics. Some of the by products such as chlorinated aromatic amines are toxic and may be potential carcinogens.  Azo dyes are a family of artificial colorants that are very well suited for making bright, vivid colors. red, brown, or yellow tints and are obtained from aromatic amines. These account for around 70 per cent of the dyes produced worldwide. These dyes are able to play havoc by either entering into the body or coming into contact with the skin.  A large number of Azo dyes are carcinogens, or are formulated from carcinogenic
chemicals.
