Mothering magazine, ( http://www.mothering.com/ ) is a MUST have for all families is this wonderful natural parenting magazine. This is the magazine that started it all for me. One dfay while at my local supermarket, Whole Foods, I saw this magazine, began to read some of the articles and decided that i needed to apply a lot of the information i read to my family. It makes a great baby gift too, if you'd like to get your friend a subscription. Skin Deep Costemic database is The Environmental Working Group's searchable database of toxic ingredients in cosmetic and personal care products. Just type in the product's name that you use or are considering using and find out what their ingredients are made from and how that can affect your health. Sign up for their emails, it's free!! The FDA does not regulate what goes into making our cosmetics and personal skin care products- a very scary fact when you consider that you and your family are being exposed to harmful, toxic chemicals without your knowing. I use this website whenever i want to find out if what i am using is safe to put on my family's skin. A score of 0-4 is ideal, anything above 5 is hazardous to your health.
